The basis of Participatory Governance in Mozambique is embodied in the constitution of the Republic (article 271) and through article 26 and 27 of decree 51/2004, of 1 December, it is attributed to the Government, to guarantee the creation of conditions for the participation of citizens and civil society.
To respond to the challenges identified in Participatory Governance, the REMOP network (Mozambican Network for Participatory Budgeting) was created.
