We can see signs that it is becoming more popular and common to at least test PB in municipalities. According to the answers in our questionnaire 2018, there was only 12% (23 municipalities) using PB and 16% (31 municipalities) planning on using PB.
Partial result of a study carried out by the Association of Finnish Municipalities, in 2020, on the participation processes promoted by the 294 Finnish municipalities. During the preparation of the Atlas, the Association had received replies from 43% of the municipalities. Of these, 31 say they are using the PB and 21 say that they are planning on using. Of those municipalities that are using PB, 64% is using yearly and 36% at least once in a municipal council term, which in Finland lasts 4 years).
